1. So you can familiarize yourself with the products. Some of these products might be new to you (you’ve probably never heard of a peri bottle unless you’re a mom or are way ahead of the rest of the U.S. who is stuck with this:
You wouldn’t jump out of a plane without knowing how to use a parachute (we hope) so don’t get to postpartum without knowing a little something about recovery. Even though this “they’ll figure it out later” method is the norm right now in our society, we’re doing our best to change that.
2. You don't know exactly when baby will arrive. She could come a month early, and you definitely want the kit at your home ahead of time, so it's ready for you when you come home from the hospital
3. As an added bonus, some of the items (for example the tank top, underwear, water bottle, chocolate) can be used before birth, while you’re still pregnant.
Because moms are the best and they deserve it.
Seems like a good enough reason. If that’s not enough, there’s this: Despite all the doctor visits during pregnancy, our society under-appreciates the experience of moms. There is an education gap between what the medical community knows and what is passed on to new moms.

Wrong! This may seem strange, but it works for both delivery methods because new moms experience many of the same major postpartum symptoms regardless of the method. And the numa kit is designed to address all recoveries.
Not sure what some of these items are? No problem, that’s normal. That’s why we created a guidebook. It outlines the symptoms you'll likely experience, and how to alleviate them with the products in your numa kit.
The “average” recovery period lasts about 6 weeks, but every recovery is different. New moms will use the peri bottle 200+ times, but may only use the stool softener a handful of times.
